The national instrument of spatial planning is the strategic document Spatial Development Policy of the Czech Republic (PÚR ČR). The PÚR is prepared by the Ministry of Regional Development and approved by the Government of the Czech Republic.
The Principles of Spatial Development of the Central Bohemian Region are valid for the administrative territory of ORP Říčany, and the Spatial Analytical Documentation of the Central Bohemian Region was prepared as a spatial planning basis.

Spatial plans and regulatory plans are always deposited in the municipality for which they were made, at the relevant building authority and at the planning office (Municipality of Říčany, Department of Spatial Planning and Regional Development, Komenského nám. 1619/2, 251 01 Říčany).
