In general, the Department deals with this agenda:

  • the performance of state administration in the field of education in the administrative district of the municipality with extended competence of the town of Říčany
  • exercise of self-government in education – methodical direction and management of the city’s contributory educational organisations
  • the exercise of self-government in culture – methodical direction and management of the town’s contributory cultural organisations (Husova knihovna, Muzeum Říčany, KC Swan)
  • organising cultural events in the town
  • ensures the preparation of the municipal chronicle
  • management of the agenda of organizers and organizers of events associated with the musical projection of live or reproduced music in the open space according to OZV no. 2/2016
